Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg all come together to make one of the larger counties in Tennessee. Sevier County, TN is known for many beautiful locations, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which stretches beyond the Sevier County border.
You can see the Appalachian Mountains to the north, the Foothills in the center, and the beautiful valley that stretches across East Tennessee.
In approximately 1820, Isaac Love (1783-1854) established the iron forge along the Little Pigeon River. The iron forge included a bloomery furnace and water-powered trip hammer to smelt and mold ore into iron bars. When searching for a location for our brewery, we immediately felt at home in this mountain town. We wanted to pay tribute to the rich history that unfolded here and thus created our name, Iron Forge Brewing Company.Â
Sevierville has preserved much of its southern charm and the quaint personality of a small, historic town. Iron Forge Brewing Company is proud to call it our home in the Smokies.Â
